And it happen just this morning in ABS-CBN Compund beside the Umagang Kay Ganda studio where my boss just texted me that there's a Kris Aquino's gown sale so i shove my camera with my writer (Manila) and headed on the said area. Yup I'm not fan of gowns and dresses but I am so fan with designers like Pepsi Herrera when he created a particular line of clothing in Oxygen and other designers like Edwin Tan, Rajo Laurel and JC Buendia. Teacher Ko Idol Ko

Last January 25, inilunsad ng Department of Education, Philippine Business Education at ng mga teachers institution ang Teacher Ko Idol Ko campaign na naglalayon na ienganyo ang mga kabataan na may kakayahang magturo at may quality na maging isang mabuting guro na mag aral ng education at ipagpatuloy ang nasabing profession. Alinsunod sa paglulunsad ng kampanyang ito ay ipinakita ang 30 sec campaign na kung saan kasama sina Ms. Judy Ann Santos at Ryan Agoncillo na parehong teen idols.

Kasabay nito ay ipinakilala ang 1000 Students to become teachers project na kung saan naglalayong magbigay ng scholarship sa mga pinaka-matatalinong na senior students ng high school na pwedeng mag major ng English, Math at Science, na pagkagraduate sila ay kailangan nilang bumalik sa kanilang mga probinsya para magturo public schools na hindi bababa ng limang taon.

Cheaper Medicine Bill: Nakakagamot o Nakakalala pa sa kalagayan ng bansa?

Nagbabantang magboycott ang ilang mga doktor dahil sa sa isang provision ng Cheaper Medicine Bill na naglalamang tanging generic na gamot lamang ang pwedeng ireseta ng mga doktor na kung saan ayon sa PMA (Philippine Medical Association) na magkaiba ang epekto ng gamot na branded kaysa sa generic na gamot kahit pareho ng sangkap ang dalawang gamot, na kung saan mas pinipili ng mga ilang pasyente ang mga gamot na generic dahil sa mura ito ngunit sa kasamaang palad mahina ang epekto nitong magpagaling sa mga pasyente. At ayon kay Dr. Rey Melchor Santos VP ng PMA na iisipin ng mga pasyente na di magaling ang doktor dahil di nagrerespond ang gamot sa kanila dahil iba ang brand na binili nila.

Sa kabilang banda naman ay nagtataka ang isa sa mga may akda ng panukalang ito na isa ring doktor na si Rep. Ferjenel Biron ng 4th District ng Iloilo na ayon sa kanya nakasaad sa Generics law na generic lang ang pwedeng ilagay ngunit nasa doktor na ito kung ilalagay nila ang brand ng gamot at ayon din sa kanya hindi rin nangangahulugan na mababa ang quality ng gamot na mura. Ngunit itinakda pa rin ng PMA ang kanilang motorcade sa January 27 bilang kilos protesta.

Ang Sa Wari Ko: Maipasa man ng Cheaper Medicine Bill ay nakasalalay pa rin sa doktor kung paano nila pangangalaagan ang kalusugan ng pasyente, generic man o branded ang kanilang ireseta. Sang ayon ako sa layunin ng mga doktor na isipin ang kapakanan ng mga pasyente para gumaling agad pero sa kabilang banda ay iniisip ko rin ang kapakanan ng mga pasyenteng may kakayahang makabili ng gamot na inirereseta sa kanila. Imbis na generic lang ang pagtuunang pansin, marahil gumawa ng isang panukalang tutulong pababain ang halaga ng mga gamot na branded para abot kayang bilhin ito ng mga pasyente o gumawa ng isang grupo sa Department of Health na tutulong sa mga pasyenteng nangangailangan ng tulong o financial support sa kanilang pagpapagaling. Sana mas bigyan ng pansin ng gobyerno ang bigyan ng dagdag budget ang kalusugan ng mga mamamayan bukod sa pinapatibay nilang security ng bansa.

Philippines 2010: Handa ka na ba?

Ito ang unang entry ko patungkol sa 2010 presidential election ng Pinas. At sigurado akong sa dalawang taong mahigit pang natitira di ito mapipigilan ng Charter Change.

Naghahanda na ang Jeep ng Erap kung sino ang isasakay niya para ilaban sa 2010. Pero sa napakaraming gustong sumakay hanggang sa estribo siguradong punong puno. Sino mga ba ang talagang representative ng United Opposition? Mula sa unang paglabas ni Mar Roxas sa kanyang adhikaing tumakbo sa 2010 ay sinundan naman siya ni Manny Villar na gustong ipagpatuloy ang paglilingkod bilang isang pangulo. Pero makainlan lang lumabas ang ilang usap usapan na maaaring ampunin ang independent candidate noon at ngayong bise presidente na ng Pilipinas na si Kabayan Noli de Castro kasama ang governor ng Batangas na si Vilma Santos bilang pambato ng oposisyon sa 2010.

Ngunit sa kabilang banda ay may ilang nagsasabing imposibleng ampunin ng oposisying si Kabayan lalo na ngayong di pa siya nagpapahiwatig na ipagpatuloy ang kanyang paglilinkod at maging presidente ng bansa. At hindi rin imbitado sa oposisyon si Kabayan ayon kay Senadora Loren Legarda.

Sa kabilang banda, may ilang pangalang lumilitaw na maaaring magpatuloy ng laban ng administration, mula sa MMDA Chairman na si Bayani Fernando at miyembro ng kabinete ni PGMA.

Habang ang LAKAS ay isinusulong din ang tambalang Kabayan - Ate Vi o Kabayan - Bong pero hanggang ngayon ni isa sa mga nasabing napipisil ng LAKAS ay hindi pa nagpaparamdam ng anumang kagustuhan lumaban sa 2010.

Ang Sa Wari Ko: Napakahaba pa ang bibilangin buwan at araw para makarating sa pinakahihintay nating paghalal sa bagong mamamahala sa bansa ngunit ang sa akin lang ay may tatlo dalangin lang ako sa okasyong ito. Una matuloy ang eleksyon at walang mangyaring chacha na matagal ng usap usapan at sinusulong ng ilang nasa posisyon. Pangalawa nawa'y maayos na ang sistema ng eleksyon ba bansa at ang Pangatlo gaya ng sabi ng isang kaibigan sa twitter na ang hiling lang niya ay payamanin ang buong Pilipinas at hindi ang sariling bulsa.

ABS-CBN STATEMENT IN REACTION TO GMA-7 FILING OF CIVIL CASE

We are disappointed but not surprised by GMA-7's reactions to the discovery of TV ratings manipulation. It appears that they want to prevent the media from mentioning GMA 7 in connection with cheating in the ratings .

AGB-Nielsen Media Research General Manager Maya Reforma identified GMA-7 as the broadcast network behind the efforts that compromised panel homes in Bacolod.

Furthermore, in Reforma’s affidavit submitted to the Quezon City Regional Trial Court, she admitted that GMA-7 was involved in “tampering” with the panel homes and that "79 of the 532 homes interviewed from the 6 cities were confirmed by panel homes to have been exposed to efforts by GMA."

Let’s remember that the issue here is about having a clean TV ratings process, the reason we filed a civil case against AGB-Nielsen Media Research. Filing defamation charges against ABS-CBN diverts attention from the real issue. We are confident that the truth will come out.

We are waiting for a formal copy of GMA-7’s complaint so our lawyers can evaluate its merits.

Get a glimpse of the new Yahoo Messenger look, more artistic design, actually more like an eye candy to me. With larger avatar and more space for your contact's name and status and what's good you don't need to go on the menu to click option like call, sms and IM the options is just a mouse over away. But wait yahoo messenger 9.0 is still in beta version which means you can still encounter several technical problem such as you cannot log in, your messenger shuts down and script problem. If your version 9 doesn't work well you can still re-install your version 8.1! :)
